About the event
This year’s gala theme, “Dreams Achieved,” pays homage to Langston Hughes’ iconic poem “Dream Deferred.” While Hughes’ words reflect the pain and consequences of postponed dreams, our theme serves as a powerful antonym — a tribute to what becomes possible when dreams are nurtured, supported, and realized through collective action.
We gather not only to celebrate the milestones of the youth we serve, but also to honor the mentors, educators, partners, and community champions who make those achievements possible. This evening will shine a spotlight on the strength of unity, the beauty of purpose, and the impact of believing in a shared vision for equity and empowerment.
